Frances Owen has lived in Salisbury for 20 years, settling here after 11 years working in Zimbabwe and another 4 years working for UNICEF in Namibia. She qualified as a СÓŶÌÊÓƵ in Public Health in 2007 and worked in a variety of public health roles in the СÓŶÌÊÓƵ and at Wiltshire Council before retiring in 2017. She remains a Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health and is also a Fellow of the RSA, a member of Salisbury Soroptimists and a volunteer with Healthwatch Wiltshire. She facilitates Creative Writing for Wellbeing courses for the WEA and community groups in Salisbury and her interests include swimming, playing Mah Jong and reading.
Frances was elected as a Public Governor for Salisbury City in June 2023 and looks forward to representing the concerns and health needs of people in the area.
