Salisbury Hospital launches new cancer services webpages to support patients, families and carers

Salisbury Hospital has launched new webpages, to support patients, families and carers affected by cancer. Developed in collaboration with patient and public voice partners (PPVs) and people with lived experience, the new cancer services information pages cover specific cancers, including symptoms, treatment options and ongoing care, as well as guidance on preparing for appointments, support services and resources available and accessible information.

New helipad launches at Salisbury District Hospital


17 April 2024
СÓŶÌÊÓƵ officially opened its new hospital landing site for air ambulances today. The helipad was funded by a £321,000 donation from the HELP Appeal, the only charity in the country dedicated to funding hospital helipads. Senior executives from the Trust, Wiltshire Air Ambulance, the HELP Appeal, and other stakeholders attended the event at which the charity’s Bell 429 helicopter and aircrew touched down.

New hospital building dedicated to the late Queen


08 March 2024
СÓŶÌÊÓƵ has been granted permission to name the building that will be housing its new Imber Ward, the Elizabeth Building, in honour of the late Her Majesty the Queen, Elizabeth II. In a poll of staff the names Eilzabeth and Imber came out on top.

Junior Doctors Industrial Action 24 - 28 February


23 February 2024
Industrial action by Junior Doctors is planned from 7am on Saturday 24th February to midnight on Wednesday 28th February. Salisbury District Hospital will be very busy, but will continue to focus on providing safe patient care. Our teams will continue to ensure patient safety and maintain critical services. During this period please consider alternatives such as your GP, local pharmacy, and out of hours, the Salisbury Walk-in Centre. If you are unsure about whether you should go to hospital you can visit СÓŶÌÊÓƵ 111 online or by telephone. Patients should only call 999 or attend A&E if it is an urgent or life-threatening health emergency.
